Sonic Odyssey of Curious Creatures

Free Music Installation Show at Hong Kong Cultural Centre

This free exhibition is a collaboration between local curator Kay Chan Wan-ki and creative collective Brainrental, featuring three moving, singing music installations: Peacock Tower, Spinning Deer and Hummingbird and Butterfly House. Combining world music, play and visual design, they turn the musical map of Asia+ Festival 2026 into a giant music box, with figures and animals forming a carnival-style line-up that suits families.

At the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Foyer Exhibition Areas, it runs from 10 September to 14 October 2026. Note the opening hours on 22 September (19:00-23:00) and 14 October (09:00-15:00). Weekend art handicraft workshops led by Chan and musical theatre excerpts by the Hong Kong Children's Musical Theatre are also listed.

For a family outing, pick a day with a workshop or performance, and check the official programme page for the latest arrangements before you go.

Editor’s noteFree entry, with three interactive music installations that suit families; going on a day with a workshop or performance adds to the fun. Check the official page for the latest arrangements before you go.
