According to the LCSD cultural programmes page, the Sai Wan Ho Civic Centre Venue Partnership Scheme masterclass with the Espen Eriksen Trio takes place on 7 October 2026 (Wed) at 4pm in the Sai Wan Ho Civic Centre Theatre.
The jazz trio is known for a "less is more" approach and their interplay, and the three musicians will explain how they shaped a distinctive group sound in European jazz, demonstrating melody and dynamics and how each player finds a role in an ensemble.
The session is conducted in English, with free admission by registration and no assigned seating; children under 6 are not admitted. Registration is via the LCSD programme page. It runs about an hour with no interval, and the organiser notes it may change programmes and instructors if circumstances require, so it is worth confirming details beforehand.
Editor’s noteFree entry with advance registration makes this one for jazz fans and players; note the English-language session and that children under 6 are not admitted.
