Early Chinese Photography Roving Exhibition at Hong Kong Central Library in October

The “Early Chinese Photography Collection of Moonchu Foundation” Roving Exhibition runs at the Hong Kong Central Library's Arts Resource Centre on the 10th floor, from 9 September to 29 December 2026, during library opening hours. The exhibits come from the Hong Kong Museum of History's Moonchu Foundation Chinese photography collection, which holds over 20,000 photographs and related publications, most from the late 19th to early 20th century. They cover major historical events and battles, as well as late Qing and early Republican city scenes and folk customs. Selected highlights are shown, offering a look at China a century ago. If you are at the library between 1 and 31 October, it is easy to drop by.
