Literary Activities - Writing Workshops for Novices in 2026 : Novels

Sha Tin Library Novel Writing Workshops on October Saturdays

Co-organised by Hong Kong Public Libraries and Hong Kong Literature, the 2026 Writing Workshops for Novices: Novels runs on 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31 October 2026 (Saturdays), 3:30pm–5:30pm, at the Sha Tin Public Library extension activities room. Experienced editors and writers explain fiction-writing concepts, share experience and discuss participants' original Chinese writing. Each workshop has 30 places and is conducted in Cantonese/Putonghua. Check the Hong Kong Public Libraries website or call 2928 4601 for details.

Editor’s noteTwo hours each Saturday afternoon — a good fit for beginners keen to try fiction. Places are limited, so check the enrolment method early.
