“Be a Little Town Planner” Workshops

Tuen Mun Library's “Be a Little Town Planner” workshop builds a model city with LEGO

On 24 October 2026 (Saturday), from 3:00pm to 4:30pm, Tuen Mun Public Library holds a “Be a Little Town Planner” workshop co-organised with the Planning Department, aimed at promoting urban planning in Hong Kong.

Participants plan a model city on a base map, using LEGO bricks, card, colour markers, tape, scissors and a laminated map; the library also provides cleaning items such as paper towels and wet wipes. Children aged 8 to 12 may join with one accompanying parent. The workshop is conducted in Cantonese, is free of charge, and places are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Registration opens on 10 October 2026 by phone or in person at the relevant library; the enquiry number is 2450 0671. If you plan to bring a child, check the registration arrangements and availability first.

Editor’s noteA good fit for children aged 8 to 12 with a parent; it is free but requires registration, places are first-come, first-served, and it is worth calling 2450 0671 to confirm before going.
