Cantonese Opera by Pik Kwan Chinese Opera Institute

Cantonese opera "The Butterfly Lovers" at Ko Shan Theatre on 5 November

On 5 November 2026, Ko Shan Theatre hosts a Cantonese opera adaptation of "The Butterfly Lovers" by Pik Kwan Chinese Opera Institute. It is the only published performance date for this run. The familiar Liang-Zhu story takes on a different flavour through Cantonese opera percussion and singing.

For ticket prices and availability, the organiser points audiences to URBTIX, so check the site before heading out and confirm the session and seating details.

Most online reports about "The Butterfly Lovers" concern ballet, Yue opera or overseas productions; they are not this Ko Shan Theatre Cantonese opera performance, so don't mix them up.

Editor’s noteFor a Cantonese opera take on the Liang-Zhu story, note the 5 November 2026 performance at Ko Shan Theatre; check URBTIX for prices and availability.
