La Bola Negra Opens in Hong Kong, from a Cannes Best Director
La Bola Negra runs 159 minutes and is rated IIB, listed as drama/war. Tickets are on sale at Broadway, so check the cinema's showtimes if you want to catch it.
Public coverage reports that the film won Best Director at Cannes and a Toronto audience award, and mentions a Hong Kong release on 5 November. Those are the reports' claims; confirm actual screenings with the cinema.
One commentary piece discusses the film through a left-wing filmmaking strategy for a gay-themed movie amid anti-woke culture. That is one critical angle, not a universal view.
If you go, pick a Broadway session that suits your schedule; with a 159-minute runtime, allow a little extra time around the screening.
Editor’s noteThe reported Cannes Best Director win and Toronto audience award make this one to note; check Broadway for actual showtimes.
