Stone Houses Family Garden: A Grade III Historic Building in Kowloon City with a Retro Bing Sutt Theme

Stone Houses Family Garden sits in Kowloon City, on Junction Road. It was formerly the old dwellings at 31–35 Hau Wong Temple New Village, believed to have been built around 1945–1949: a two-storey row of five stone houses with granite walls and pitched timber-truss tiled roofs.

After WWII many migrants arrived and the area became a squatter settlement; in the 1950s film studios opened nearby, and from the 1970s some houses became workshops, with the gravestone factory sign "藍恩記" still kept. The village was cleared in 2001, leaving 31–35 as the only surviving structures; it was graded a Grade III historic building in 2010 and revitalised in 2015.

Today it is a retro bing sutt-themed restaurant with a heritage discovery centre and tourist information centre, offering dining, exhibitions, guided tours and training courses. Check opening details before you go.
