A Grade III Heritage Temple in Ping Shek Estate

Sam Shan Kwok Wong Temple, Ngau Chi Wan sits in Ping Shek Estate in Kwun Tong District. It has red walls, green tiles, ceramic figures on the roof, and a stone lintel reading “Sam Shan Kwok Wong”. Its first build date is unknown; ridge inscriptions suggest a 1911 rebuild, and it was rated a Grade III historic building in 2010.

The Sam Shan Kwok Wong faith comes from Chaozhou, Guangdong, the three mountains being Dushan, Mingshan and Jinshan. One legend says Song founder Zhao Kuangyin was helped by the three mountain deities. Nearby options include Kowloon Bay Park, Jordan Valley Park and ZCB. Check opening information before you go.
