A Half-Day Temple Walk in Sham Shui Po: Sam Tai Tsz & Pak Tai Temples

Sham Shui Po is not just about food and electronics: two linked old temples sit on Yu Chau Street. Sam Tai Tsz Temple, also called Sam Tai Tsz Kung, is described by the Hong Kong 18 Districts self-guided site as the city's only temple with Sam Tai Tsz (Nezha) as its main deity; the neighbouring Pak Tai Temple was built by local fishermen. The same source notes they were graded Grade II and Grade III historic buildings in 2009 and 2010, with Qing-dynasty relics such as an old bell.
