A Tang-style Half-Day in Diamond Hill: Chi Lin Nunnery & Nan Lian Garden

Diamond Hill is not just malls: next door sits a Tang-style timber complex. Per the Hong Kong 18-district leisure site, Chi Lin Nunnery was founded in 1934 and rebuilt from 1994 on the traditional seven-hall monastery plan, using Dunhuang Cave 172's mural as a design reference, opening to the public in 2000. Nan Lian Garden, 3.5 hectares on Fung Tak Road, opened in 2006 with Tang-style timber structures, rocks and old trees.
