Morse Park & Wong Tai Sin Cultural Garden: A Big Park Cluster in Wong Tai Sin

Morse Park is the largest park in Wong Tai Sin District, made up of Parks No. 1 to 4, Morse Park Sports Centre and Morse Park Swimming Pool, covering about 16 hectares. Facilities include an artificial-turf football pitch, hard-surface football pitch, grass gateball court, basketball and tennis courts, a skatepark, elderly fitness areas and children's playgrounds. Parks No. 1, 2 and 3 feature a Tai Chi garden, palm garden and butterfly pavilion, while Park No. 4 has an amphitheatre used for large cultural and community events. Tucked in a corner of Park No. 2, Wong Tai Sin Cultural Garden is themed on Chinese culture: the Western-style main plaza at the Tung Tau Tsuen Road entrance faces a Chinese stage, and the Tai Chi Plaza at the Tai Tung Street entrance combines bagua symbols with a tai chi diagram. The two entrances, one round and one square, echo the traditional idea of a round heaven and square earth.
