PMQ: A Revitalised Creative Landmark on Aberdeen Street, Central

PMQ sits on Aberdeen Street in Central, revitalised from the former Hollywood Road Married Police Quarters. The site was earlier home to Central School, which moved here in 1889 and later became Queen's College; the school building was demolished after WWII, and in 1951 the site became Hong Kong's first quarters for married Chinese rank-and-file police officers. The buildings reflect modernist architecture and were graded a Grade III historic building in 2010. Revitalised in 2014, PMQ now houses creative studios, pop-up shops and co-working spaces rented by emerging and established design brands.
