Sai Wan Waterfront Promenade: A 400m Pier-Park Stroll

On the Central and Western waterfront, the Sai Wan section along Fung Mat Road is worth a look. It covers about 5,200 sq m and includes a roughly 400-metre promenade plus four disused piers, together forming a themed "pier" park.

The design keeps the look and historical elements of the Western Wholesale Food Market and its piers, with the four piers set up as rest areas of different themes — good for a stroll, and also used by groups holding activities. To plan a trip, you can use the Transport Department's HKeMobility site or app and enter "Western Wholesale Food Market" as the destination to search routes. Check opening arrangements and hours with the relevant department before you go.
