Bank of China Tower on Garden Road: I.M. Pei's Bamboo-Inspired Landmark

Bank of China Tower stands on Garden Road in Central, designed by Chinese-American architect I.M. Pei, with a form inspired by bamboo rising joint by joint. It is made up of four triangular shafts of different heights, like crystal prisms, and rises 367.4 metres, making it one of Hong Kong's tallest buildings.

If you plan to visit, you could fit it into a Central and Western District day out: the same district also lists Hong Kong Park, the Flagstaff House Museum of Tea Ware, the Court of Final Appeal Building and HSBC Main Building, so you can pick and mix.
