Woodside Biodiversity Education Centre: Quarry Bay's Red House

On Braemar Hill Road in Quarry Bay stands the "Red House", once a senior staff quarters of the 1920s Taikoo Sugar Refinery. The government took it over in 1976; it was graded a Grade II historic building in 2010 and revitalised in 2012 as Hong Kong's first biodiversity education centre. It covers about 3,400 sq m with three themed galleries, a nature area, a resource room and activity rooms, plus talks, workshops and guided tours. Nearby is the Quarry Bay Tree Walk.
