The Court of Final Appeal Building in Central: A Neoclassical Heritage Landmark

The Court of Final Appeal Building on Jackson Road in Central, also known as the Old Supreme Court Building, opened in 1912. This three-storey granite building is neoclassical, with Ionic columns around the ground level and a blindfolded Themis holding a sword and scales on top, symbolising justice. It has housed the Supreme Court and the Legislative Council, and has served as the Court of Final Appeal since 2015; its exterior was declared a monument in 1984.
