Southern District Literary Trail: Landmarks for Five Writers

The Southern District Literary Trail honours five modern Chinese writers — Eileen Chang, Hu Shi, Cai Yuanpei, Xiao Hong and Xu Dishan — with memorial landmarks placed at five spots in the district, drawing on their footprints there and offering a fresh angle on literature.

The landmarks are: "Hong Kong Journey" for Eileen Chang, at the passage in Repulse Bay Garden linking Repulse Bay Road and Beach Road; "Tic-Tac-Toe" for Hu Shi, on the pavement opposite St Stephen's College in Stanley; "Walking Past" for Cai Yuanpei, on Aberdeen Praya Road near the entrance to Aberdeen Chinese Permanent Cemetery; "Thirty-One Birds" for Xiao Hong, at Repulse Bay Beach; and "Plain" for Xu Dishan, inside the Victoria Road/Kam Shue Street rest garden.
