Shek O Country Park: Home of the Dragon's Back in Southern District

Shek O Country Park sits in the southeast of Hong Kong Island, covering 701 hectares, from the Pottinger Peak and Mount Collinson ridges through Cloudy Hill and Mount Parker (Dragon's Back) down to Cape D'Aguilar. Three main trails run through it: Hong Kong Trail Section 7 (Tai Tam Road to To Tei Wan), Section 8 (To Tei Wan to Big Wave Bay) and the Pottinger Peak Country Trail (Shek O Ma Tong Au to Cape Collinson Road). Views take in Stanley, Tai Tam, Shek O and the outlying islands, plus Tai Tam Bay and Clear Water Bay Peninsula. The Dragon's Back section was named Asia's best urban hike by TIME in 2004.
