Lin Fa Temple, Tai Hang: An Old Kwun Yum Temple in Wan Chai District
Lin Fa Temple in Tai Hang, Wan Chai District, sits on Lin Fa Street and dates to about 1863 (Tongzhi 2, Qing dynasty). It mainly honours Kwun Yum and was declared a monument in 2014. Its layout is unusual: an octagonal front hall with a double-eaved pyramidal roof, no light well between it and the rectangular main hall, and entrance steps on both sides rather than a central front door. It is linked to a legend of Kwun Yum appearing on a lotus stone. Check opening information before you go.
