Tai Hang Fire Dragon Heritage Centre: A Grade III Historic Building on School Street

Tai Hang Fire Dragon Heritage Centre sits on School Street in Tai Hang, Wan Chai District. Its building began as the 1909 "Confucian School", was rebuilt on site with neighbourhood donations after WWII and completed in 1949, later served various educational uses, stood vacant from 2010, and was revitalised into the heritage centre under the Revitalising Historic Buildings Through Partnership Scheme, opening in 2022. The building is a Grade III historic building. The ground-floor exhibition uses projection and interactive displays on the fire dragon dance, its history and craft, plus the evolution of Tai Hang's Hakka village. The first and second floors hold themed restaurants serving Hakka-style food, and the second floor has a multi-purpose space for workshops, talks and small exhibitions.
