Lovers' Rock on Bowen Road, Wan Chai: A Spot to Pray for Love

Lovers' Rock stands on a slope along Bowen Road in Wan Chai, shaped like a stone brush tilted into its base, and is listed as a Wan Chai spot by Hong Kong Free Walk in 18 Districts. It is said that devotees who hang a bottle from a tree beside the rock with a rope will have their wishes granted; on the 6th, 16th and 26th days of each lunar month, many people come to burn incense and pray for good matches. Visitors can also look down over the city, taking in Happy Valley Racecourse, Central Plaza, Hopewell Centre and other landmarks.
